Dushyant Pawaskar, Author
Dushyant is an avid reader of books and listener of music, a father of one, and now a writer. Max & Pax: ABC of Singapore, his debut children’s picture book, is inspired by his journey as a parent.
Dushyant and his wife have a simple parenting philosophy: many books at home and many experiences outdoors. Along with their adventurous young child, they have immersed themselves in Singapore’s rich history and culture, from Chinatown to Little India to Kampong Glam and from Botanic Gardens to Gardens by the Bay.
Through Max & Pax: ABC of Singapore, he aims to encourage parents to seek meaningful, outdoor bonding activities with their children and to explore the diverse landmarks, cultures, and foods of Singapore.
Before the career change to writing, Dushyant spent 18 years editing scientific research papers, books, and more for researchers and authors worldwide. He also aims to pass on his passion for science to children by writing more stories in the future.

Andrew Aprilio, Illustrator
Andrew loves drawing. When he was a child, he drew and drew and dreamt of becoming an illustrator. At university though, he strayed a bit from this path and became an architect, drawing buildings.
But he never forgot his mission of creating art to bring joy and inspire others. So he stopped being an architect and drew nature, urban landscapes, and cool characters.
Along the way, he worked on some children’s books, including Max & Pax: ABC of Singapore.
